We understand that your images, personal photographs, signatures, and government exam documents are private. That is why Picnift was engineered from the ground up to operate entirely on client-side browser technology.
2. 100% Local Browser Processing (Zero Server Uploads)
Unlike conventional web utilities that require uploading your sensitive files to remote servers or cloud storage bins for compression and conversion, Picnift does not upload any of your files anywhere.
When you select or drop images into Picnift, all compression, resizing, format conversion (such as JPEG, PNG, WebP, ICO, CUR), and batch renaming occurs entirely within your device's memory using HTML5 Canvas and local browser APIs. Your files never transit across the internet to our servers.
3. Information We Collect
Because Picnift operates locally on your browser:
- No Image Data Collection: We do not see, access, collect, or store any images or files you process.
- Anonymous Analytics: We utilize standard third-party tools like Google Analytics (gtag.js) to monitor broad, anonymous traffic metrics (such as page views and general browser types) to help us improve website performance and user experience.
- Cookies: We do not use intrusive tracking cookies for personal advertising or user profiling.
4. Offline Functionality
Picnift supports progressive web application features including Service Workers. Once you load the website in your browser, core tools can function completely offline, giving you a secure, self-contained toolkit even without an active internet connection.
